Musician, poet, writer, filmmaker, photographer, teacher, loving husband, father and grandfather, Issachar Miron was one of the finest individuals one could meet, a true gentleman and artist, with a heart of gold and a spirit to match, humble and refined, caring and thoughtful, learned and giving. Isaachar, rest in peace, my friend.

Bnai Zion mourns the loss of an incredible individual. We were fortunate to host his 90th birthday celebration with a room filled with "who's who".

What an incredible legacy.

I am saddened to learn of Issachar's passing. We were colleagues and friends for many years. I had the privilege of bringing him to the UJA staff at the time of the Yom Kippur War in 1973, when he was on the staff of the American Friends of Hebrew University and the university fundraising campaigns in the U.S. were closed down. We gave him great creative reign and he developed the traveling "spectaculars" which became a new and valued addition to the UJA menu for communities all over the country. He possessed a great imagination and a helpful network in addition to his own talents as a composer and writer. Issachar was sui generis and it was a privilege to know him.
