We lost a great friend and family member on March 3 . Through the years, after meeting at J&R , and after a couple of trips to Las Vegas, I decided to leave N.Y. It took a couple of years to convince Jeff to follow me there. We drove cabs together for a few years and Jeff went on to try other things.

He was a loving friend and a Broadway aficionado who will be truly missed.

My friend, Jeff, was a close and dear friend of 37 years. A born and bred New Yorker, he took me under his wing and taught me about New York City like only a New Yorker could. He introduced me to the history of New York City, the culture, the Broadway music, restaurants, museums, and allowed me to become friends with his friends. 

Unbelievably generous to a fault ("You're money's no good, kiddo."), funny as hell, and a very well educated former high school English teacher, Jeff also possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of his Jewish heritage, with which I learned so much. 

I loved him to pieces. And, I will miss him to my own last day. 

He'll be buried in Brooklyn, NY, next to his mother and father.
