He was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 14, 1916.
He founded The Nycal Co., Inc in 1952 and remained its CEO until 1979. Mr. Dank then started Boda Industries in 1984. Nycal and Boda, both manufacturers of bus and rail components, were leaders in the transit industry. He retired at the age of 83 in 2000. He was loved and admired for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor and adventurous spirit.
He is survived by his beloved family, sons Robert and Daniel, and stepdaughter Fran Zimbard and stepson Les Stark, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place at Wien and Wien Funeral Directors,402 Park Street in Hackensack at 11:30 am on August 1st.
