September 5, 1932 – August 29, 2021
Marilyn Friedman, born on September 5th 1932, passed away on Sunday August 29th, 2021. She was a vibrant, beloved wife, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend, and celebrated her marriage to her late husband, Sheldon Friedman, every day of her life. After growing up and starting her married life in the Bronx, she later moved to Fort Lee, New Jersey, but her life was never relegated to just her city of residence. She was an avid world traveler, even in her later years, she continued to explore the world with a few weeks long trip to China and an authentic African safari. Her local world was just as big and important to her: she frequented restaurants that knew her by name, and was always amassing friends and fans and was widely adored. She will be laid to rest beside her cherished husband, parents and family.

Born Marilyn Siegel,we both grew up on Topping Ave,the Bronx. We lived in the same building and started school together. The big tragedy was the death of her brother Bruce.
We both graduated from Taft High School in 1950.
We then parted ways until years later when we reconnected.
She was one of the better people in my life. I will miss her.
