Goldman, Marjorie “Midge,” of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, and Boynton Beach Florida, daughter of Sylvan and Lillian Grostky, nee Berlin, was born in Passaic on December 8, 1928 and lived there through her high school years. She attended Bergen Junior College, and upon graduation, got a job working at CBS Radio and Television. On December 12, 1954 she married Eugene Goldman of Jersey City and they spent two years living in Fort Lee before moving to Teaneck where they would live the next eighteen years raising their children, Carol and Peter. Midge completed her undergraduate education at Farleigh Dickinson University in 1971 and subsequently went on to get her Master’s Degree in Education while working as a Learning Disabilities Teacher in the Hackensack School system, where she taught for twenty-two years.
Upon retiring, Midge and Gene split their time between their homes in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, and Boynton Beach, Florida where she became and avid golfer and duplicate bridge player. She succumbed to the effects of Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. Midge is survived by her daughter; Carol Berg and her husband William of Atlanta, Georgia their two children, Eleanor Berg and Erica Berg and her son, Peter Goldman and his spouse, Peter Eckert of New York, New York. The funeral was from Gutterman & Musicant’s in Hackensack, New Jersey.
