Mark and I were good friends from Elementary School through high school. Mark took me to our Junior Prom. Our parents were close friends, so Mark and I found ourselves both at school events together, but family occasions as well. He was very bright with a very dry and quick sense of humor. Right before I heard of his passing I had been asking fellow graduates if anyone had any  connection with him. Sadly, I never got to make contact.

Mark was my guide, mentor and friend in my first years at Parker Chapin Flattau & Klimpl. His patience was endless and his support was unwavering, qualities that were priceless in a firm run by some very demanding and colorful personalities.  I never forgot the lessons he taught me and I will always be grateful for his advice and friendship.

Mark was a great lawyer and and even better person.  Rest in peace my friend.   My condolences to his family.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Mark Schlesinger. He was not only a great attorney and colleague, but also a fine person. Mark's dedication, expertise, and professionalism in the legal field were admirable. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark had a warm and kind-hearted nature that left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He always had a genuine interest in others, offering support and guidance whenever needed. My condolences. May his memory be a blessing.

Mark and I grew up together in Teaneck. His parents ( Fran and Ernie) and mine were close friends. We lost touch after graduation. Mark took me to our Junior Prom. He was a wonderful friend, a very bright student and I had been trying to locate him, but had no luck. Sending my condolences to his family and I wanted to tell them he was a special person.

I knew Mark from our days at Teaneck High School.  We shared USY events and enjoyed the times we played bridge (with Ken Vogel, and Ira Schlosser), hearts, or Diplomacy.  He was very bright, sincere, hard working, a leader and most of all  modest and a mensch. .

Mark fought bravely, and with characteristic humor and realism, against his illness.  A great lawyer, a lucid writer, a true gentleman, and an all-around sterling character: he will be truly missed.  I send sympathy to Peppie and his family.

I have known Mark Schlesinger since college days. I met Peppie at Candy and Mark Lieberman‘s wedding shortly after graduation. They have been lifelong friends. Mark was a gracious and gentle man, but he had an internal intensity that belied his calm demeanor. Mark and Peppie were and are wonderful parents and we watched their two lovely children grow up. Mark was devoted to his family, his profession and his community. His fight against the illness that ultimately took his life was both remarkable and inspiring. We mourn his passing and we shall miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of Marks passing. I have such fond memories of Mark. He was a patient of mine for many years. We had so many fun talks  at his cleaning appts.  Sending my sincere condolences to the family.

No other person worked as hard as Mark in whatever he was involved in. Work, parenting, being a good husband, devoting his time to the community, and, yes, where I first ran into him, the college newspaper.  He was the managing editor.  He wrote numerous articles, directed other people, and maintained good grades all at the same time, with an effort, intensity, devotion, caring, you name it, that was recognizable at twenty yards away.  Our daughters participated in the same summer program one year, and when I got there, to drop my daughter off, there was Mark and Peppie assuring me as to what steps I had to take for registration, etc.  This guy really cared. It showed.
