A survivor of both Auschwitz and the Łódź Ghetto, Miriam lived a life defined by extraordinary courage, resilience, and determination. She was married to her beloved husband, Irving Volk, also an Auschwitz survivor, for 53 years. Together they built a loving family and made their homes in New Jersey and Sarasota, Florida.
Miriam is survived by her devoted son, her cherished grandchildren, and her two beloved great-granddaughters.
The matriarch of the Volk family, Miriam’s strength, wisdom, and unwavering love shaped generations. She will also be fondly remembered for bringing family together around her table, especially with her famous sweet gefilte fish, made with love and shared with pride.
Her remarkable life, enduring spirit, and deep devotion to her family will be remembered always. May her memory be for a blessing.
