Norman Lee Brodbar died August 28, 2018 at Villa Marie Claire. He leaves a beloved daughter Beth Dara Terrence, son-in-law Mario Di Sevario and beloved spouse Roselyn Altman. He also leaves a brother Charles, sister-in-law, Elisa and nephew Christopher who resides in Florida. Norman leaves another beloved sister-in-law Ellen, wife of his deceased brother Howard, and his nieces, Jennifer Woods, Elizabeth Baumel, and nephews David and Stephen Brodbar. He also has a great niece Emma and two great nephews William and Brody.
Norman grew up in the Bronx and graduated Far Rockaway High School in 1949. He went on to graduate Queens college where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1954. He joined the army soon after his graduation and was sent to Signal Core Engineers School in Fort Monmouth after Basic Training at Fort Dix. He then spent one year in Japan.
His other accomplishments include a Masters Degree in Science from NYU in 1962. He continued his career as a computer programmer and worked for many government agencies and high tech companies. He was also a professor and taught Computer Science at New York University.
Norman was an avid bridge and tennis player. He belonged to a number of clubs and treasured the many lasting friendships he made through these endeavors.
