In his wonderful book, "Brodksy of the Bronx" Norm inscribed the following to me : "How many experiences, memories and good times have we shared. . . . I cherish your friendship and have enjoyed the years." And that is exactly how I felt about Norm, a wonderful friend whom I will miss terribly.

As one of many good memories, the attached picture shows Norm at an Automation & Control gathering in 1979.

My sincere condolences to his family.

"Mr. Brodsky", as I knew him. He was a terrific guy. He was a man of high intelligence. He was thoughtful and soft spoken. He had a witty sense of humor. He was my little league baseball coach - and a good one. He was a good role model that young people could look up to and learn from. He was the father to a great friend of mine - Mark Brodsky. "Mr. Brodsky" made my childhood happier, as I'm sure he did for many others.

Norm and I worked together at Merck & Co., Inc. for 27 years. We were close friends and experienced many of the items in his book together. He organized luncheons that kept us and other former employees together for many years. We shared Little League tips with each other as our kids were growing up. I was able to share his experience of arriving at the hospital one day early instead of one day late like his father and brothers who passed before they were 55. I am greatful to have had him as a friend for the extra 28 years
