Phyllis Solomon

Phyllis Solomon, age 91, died 6/3/2022. She lived in Parsippany, NJ, and previously resided in Fair Lawn and Teaneck. She is preceded in death by her husband. Joseph, to whom she was married for over 40 years; sister; Lilly Lustgarten, and brother, Phillip Podol. Phyllis is survived by Lawrance (Margie), Ylesa Eisenberg (Mark), and Jacob; grandchildren, Michael, Erica, Jarett, Joseph, and Alexis.

Born on April 29, 1931 in New York, Phyllis attended Hunter College and worked at The Inventory Company and Columbia Bank, where she made many, many close friends over the years. Phyllis was kind, exceedingly unselfish. and always ready to cook dinner (and lots of cake) for anyone who stopped by. She lived to see her children, grandchildren and great -granddogs be happy and successful, and was so proud to see each of them flourish.

Phyllis wanted to live independently and was able to do so right up to her passing. The quintessential Jewish mother, she loved getting the family together for holidays and Sunday dinner every week. She was funny and always the first to poke fun at herself to make others laugh.

A Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey.

Shiva will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 15 Garfield Road, Parsippany, NJ.
