Rina Berman Lerner, of Wayne, NJ and Woodbridge, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the age of 75. Rina was born in Paterson, NJ and attended New York University, graduating with a degree in Sociology. Rina worked as a social worker on behalf of Passaic County before raising a family. Later, Rina enjoyed a career as an accomplished and well-regarded landlord of both residential and commercial properties. She was an active member of Temple Emanuel of Paterson, Shomrei Torah Wayne Conservative Congregation, and the Jewish Federation of North Jersey where she was honored as a Lion of Judah. Rina is predeceased by her parents Gerrard and Ella Berman and infant son Aaron. She is survived by her husband Burton and their children Joshua, Jessica (Martin), and Deborah (Matthew), five grandchildren, her brother Dr. Lawrence Berman (Rosalie), and a large extended family.
