A New York native, born and raised in Brooklyn, and an alumnus of the New York public school system, Robert was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and physician. He deeply loved his family and was devoted to the health and welfare of all his patients. He was a veteran of the US Air Force stationed in France where he met his wife of 37 years.
Robert was a true believer in the value and joy of education. He was a world traveler, a lover of beautiful things, and an aficionado of the arts with a special love for musical theater and opera.
Although his life was filled with much beauty, he also saw much that was painful--and handled each situation with grace and aplomb always. A true gentleman.
