I'm  so very sorry to hear that Sam passed away. We worked together at Davis Hoxie in the 1990's and then at F&R  until I left in 2003. I have fond memories of working with Sam on several cases, and of him playing on the Davis Hoxie summer associate basketball team.  Sam's easy demeanor, friendliness and intelligence made it a pleasure to work and interact with him. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sam has passed away.  We lost touch after high school unfortunately but I have such found memories of him. He was friendly, kind and incredibly smart and I have no doubt that he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Dear Patty & family,

I worked with Sam for about 40  plus years, first at our former law firm then we went over to the present law firm. Sam was a warm, friendly, patient, gentle man and a great attorney to work with. I  always admired his vast knowledge of patent law and I enjoyed all my years working with him. He was always hands-on!  I also loved our conversations of family and grandchildren. His face always lit up when he spoke of his family. When I retired about a year ago, he sent me the most wonderful message. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Sam mentored me when I started at Fish & Richardson, and grew to be a good friend and colleague.  He was a brilliant attorney who I always looked up to and hoped to emulate. My heart aches for his family.

Patty is Sam, Sam is Patty. To me they are one in the same. First I met you Patty, and learned of your husdand's fine "midos" thru your eyes.
Then, as our friendship evolved, I became privileged to experience Sams love for you, his children and basically all mankind. I can only describe the "tzadik" we lost as  the salt of the earth. May we all  learn and emulate Sam's incredible midos.

Sam was such a very special person with such a kind and warm heart.  I worked with Sam for many years.  He was so patient and soft spoken. I will never forget his smile when we spoke about his family and grandchildren.  He’s truly going to be missed by everyone who had the honor of spending time with him.
