Born in Ayranci, Turkey, Mrs. Leveen resided in Hillsdale for many years. She was a professor of Economics at Montclair State University for many decades and the Chair of the Economics Department. She was a master gardener and was a member of the Sundial Garden Club of Hillsdale.
Mrs. Leveen was predeceased by her late husband Barry Leveen in 2016. She is survived by her sister, Ulku Sisik, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margery and Gerson Sher, 2 nephews, Jeremy and Adam Sher and his wife Megan and 2 great nephews, Eli and Noah.
