Dear Adam, Sienna, and Family:
When Shoshana and I met nearly 17 years ago in DC, we hit it off instantly. Her wit, charisma, and quality and caliber of character initiated our fast friendship; Shoshana was incredibly special and truly unique. The endless traits I admire about her from the moment we met - among them, her work ethic, sense of responsibility, passion, and humor - pale in comparison to those I had the privilege of experiencing as our relationship evolved over the years: her unwavering loyalty, limitless strength, steadfast resolve, unconditional compassion, and extraordinary heart. To watch her blossom into the most incredible mother and wife was no surprise; a meticulous steward of relationships, Shoshana had and will always set the bar for friendship.
All those years ago, we would often joke for all that made us different, we were actually identical - we deemed ourselves cosmic twins. Shoshana knew the value of building relationships and community in any environment - she made her friends family, when family was separated by distance. We graduated together. Moved to New York together. Took our first big jobs in news together. Were just in the process of planning to take our baby girls to the zoo together. It was a privilege to be counted among Shoshana’s many friends, an honor to call her family, and an exceptional gift to have met, shared life, love and endless laughter with my cosmic twin.
Beautiful, generous, fearless and warm; Shoshana lit up the world and those lucky enough to have the opportunity to share her company. I'm heartbroken over this truly inconceivable and untimely loss, but unconditionally grateful for the gift of Shoshana's friendship and everything she taught me in life.
My deepest sympathies and condolences, with love:
