To George's family---I lost a very dear friend in George.  I only knew him for a short time, however, he made a great impression on me.  I will miss him very much along with his stories of his wonderful life.  Take care Marion, we will be checking up on you.  Tony and Vicki Karner, George's honor flight guardian.  What an honor to have gone with him on that trip.  I will never forget.....

To Dawn, Louis, Kevin, Laura & family: my heart goes out to all of you at this difficult time. You have a lifetime of great memories to sustain you and those memories will make the coming days easier. I only met George once and he had me laughing in minutes! Dear Dawn, Georgie, Kathy, Russ & Greg, Jeff and I are thinking of you and hope the pain of losing your dad vanishes quickly when replaced with all the wonderful memories of his life.  He was bigger than life and anyone that ever met him...even if only a few times, was well aware of his memorable character.  The last time I saw him in Woodruff when I was up there fishing with Dawn, he helped me fix my boat with some wiring...he never let me touch a tool!  He just told me what to hand him and was meticulous with the repair.  I think he was 83 then, and there he was bending under my boat just because he wanted us to be safe.  What a guy!  I will remember him and miss him.

Russ, Sara, Marion and family, we just can not find the words to say "I'm sorry"-wishing we could be there to help in anyway we could-even if only for hugs. We were so very fortunate to have had the chance to meet and spend time with George last winter-a blessing for us; thank you for that.
