Roger E Steckhan

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at age 95. Loving husband of Dores (Nee Ircink) for 73 years. Precious father of Jean (Brad) Oswald, and the late Roger A. (Mary Ann) Steckhan. Dear grandfather of Rhonda (Wayne) Kasianowicz, Victor, Mark and Justine Oswald. Great-grandfather of Kyle. Favorite uncle of faithful David Ircink, Carol (David) Fait, Brian (Lynn) Sweeney, Bill (Georgia) Gehrmann and Gail (Frank) Dittmer, Carol (Mark) Daily and John (Beth) Ircink. Further survived by former daughter-in-law Loretta and many other relatives and friends.

Roger served in the Navy during WWII and was a long-time assistant chief of the Hales Corners volunteer fire department. He enjoyed boating, bowling, and golf, making 5 holes-in-one in his lifetime. He and Dores were deeply rooted in Hales Corners and built the Pine View Motel and Timbers Restaurant.

Visitation Tuesday, March 25, from 9:30 until the time of Service at 11 AM, at the FUNERAL HOME. Interment private.
