Born Marie Therese Adrienne Boudreau on January 14, 1941 in Shediac, NewBrunswick to Regina(Goguen) Boudreau and Edgar Boudreau. She grew up in Shediac with many fond memories of her large family. There were ten children in all. Brothers Adrian, Laurie and Joseph. Sisters, Clara, Doris, Florence, Sister Lina, Delores, Emily(passed in infancy) and Adrienne. She always talked of her family and their families, as there were many of them. She was proud of all of them for so many different reasons. You will get to see some of them in the pictures and movie attached here.
Adrienne struggled with school and quit after grade seven. She moved to Halifax, NS. in 1957 with her sister Delores, her husband Ed and three children. There she reluctantly entered Miss Murphy's Bussiness College in 1958 and Graduated with her Diploma. She started working with FCA. She then worked in Dept. of Highways, then McPhee's Pontiac and ending back with FCA. She retired early due to complications of renal disease.
In her early days of working she loved to go to the dances, hang around with her friends. She had moved into an apartment with her friend Marilyn, from college. During those many dances they attended she meet, Raymond Wilson. They went on to get married October 10, 1963. Both coming from families of ten and wanting children, were unable to. They applied to adopt. As I am told of how proud and delighted they were the day I was born and soon to be their's. On Feburary 6, 1971, I was so fortunate to receive these two as loving parents.
In retirement Adrienne managed through many illnesses to keep moving and enjoy her family and friends. She received a Kidney transplant in April,2000. Forging on to live on her own. She had troubles with glucoma to the eyes. Had mant surgeries to them. Feburary 5,2006 she suffered a mild stroke that affected her in the language center of the brain. Also causing weakness she tried to push herself through. This brought on heart complications. Through all this she stayed strong to live in her own apartment to keep her independence as best she could. That tragic day on September 3, 2008 she was home in bed and fell and banged her head. In hospital she went for the last time. The head injury she received was to much for her little body. I spent the last month with her as she was not fully aware of the extent of her injury. We kept her comfortable. They provided wonderful care for her in those days.
Adrienne Wilson, my Mother, left us Friday October 3, 2008. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Cruikshank's Funeral Home Halifax, NS. We celebrated her life October 7, 2008 in Saint Thomas More Catholic Church and laid her to rest beside my Father in Gates Of Heaven Cemetary.
I love you Mom. Linda
