Fougere (nee LeBlanc), Anne Rose – 87, of Halifax, passed away peacefully February 10, 2013, at Glasgow Hall, Parkland at the Lakes. Born in Margaree, Cape Breton, Anne was the daughter of the late Arsene and Rose Anne (Cormier) LeBlanc. It was obvious from a very young age that Anne was a caring and loving individual. Anne was 11 when her mother died, and at 14, she started her path of working as a nanny and housekeeper in Cape Breton and Halifax in order to help support her father and nine siblings. She met the love of her life, Simon, in Halifax and they married on November 4, 1947. They were married forty years and showed every day their devotion to each other and to their family. Mom always welcomed relatives and friends to share a homemade meal and, if needed, a place to lay their head. Her strong faith, as well as Simon's, had them spending countless hours volunteering at St. Mary's Basilica. Because of her dedication to the church, Anne received the Archdiocesan Medal of Merit. Despite the fact that dementia had robbed her of much in the past 9 years, she retained her loving personality and her engaging smile. She is survived by her children, Lawrence, New Zealand; Joan (Frank) Dalziel, Dartmouth; Joseph (Sheila), Halifax; Rita (Ted) Jennex, Dartmouth; Peter (Paula), Burlington, Ont.; grandchildren, Trinette, Renee, Amanda, Anne, Jack, Julie, Kaye, Brad, Laurel, Sara, John, Craig, Sandra, Cindy, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; brothers, Levi, Joseph (Thelma), Louis (Charlotte); sisters, Mary Louise, Julia, Theresa (Robert), Zoe, and sister-in-law Edmee and brother-in-law Simon Peter LeFort. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Simon; sisters Lucie Marie (at birth), Lucie Mae; brother, Francis; sister-in-law Mary Hattie; brothers-in-law Gerard Legere, Anthony Doiron and Clary Phillips.
A very special thank you to the staff at Parkstone and Parkland at the Lakes for their exceptional care and support of our Mother.

MISS ME, BUT LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no tears in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little – But not for long
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me – But let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone,
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to your friends that we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good works,
Miss me – But let me go.
