Dear Karen,
I felt saddened to hear about your beloved father's passing as I know how very close You were and seeing photographs of him I see a great likeness between the two of you....He seemed very happy to be on the water, and no wonder, as it may have reminded him of the many beautiful fjords and water ways that Norway has been bestowed upon...He seemed to have been a very good man and a true Viking of the North....
God Bless your dear father, and many blessings to you dear Karen...
With fondness and love
from Lisa Eneborn

We are saddened to hear that dear Arthur has passed away and send condolences from Scotland. On our visits to Canada we were blessed to get to know Arthur, my Dad's 'engineering buddy' and great friend. We have always been grateful for Arthur's friendship and loyalty over the years.

There is no distance too far between friends! Hvil i fred, Arthur. Till we meet again!

Arthur and I go back many years as amateur radio operators we chatted locally on the local radio system. Upon learning of his tower collapse we set to rebuild the antenna and replace the tower so that Arthur could continue to speak directly with friends back in Norway. We both shared our experiences of life and work on the oil rigs offshore. He will be missed for our chats and his quick whit.

Some of my fondest memories are as a child spending many a weekend at the old house with Bjarne despite our constant teasing of Karen. I was always made to feel welcome. His kindness, positive disposition and optimism and were always uplifting and he bore his physical burden with bravery and grace. Nothing could keep him down. I've always had great respect for his strength and determination to persevere and thrive. Arthur didn't just beat the odds, he triumphed over them.
