Arthur Ray MacDonald

MacDonald, Arthur Ray - 71 of Lower Sackville passed away at home on March 23, 2012 with his wife at his side. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Ella and Doug MacDonald of Halifax. He drove taxi for many years. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen (Power-Shanks);stepsons, Kenny Power (Elizabeth) ,John Shanks (Susan), Kevin Shanks, Ricky Shanks (Kelly) all of Halifax, Paul Shanks (Ryan) NB, Stephen Shanks (Susan) ONT., many grandchildren,

great - grand children, sisters and a brother. Art was predeceased by Stepsons, Dewayne Shanks, Jimmy Shanks and Ronnie Shanks, sister, Laura Fleming and brother, Danny MacDonald. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation. A memorial service will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street on Wednesday March 28, 2012 at 1pm. Reception to follow. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery.
