Barbara "Barb" Foster

Foster, Barbara Ann,1945-2015, of Halifax, passed away in the QEII hospital on Saturday, January 10, 2015 surrounded by family. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabel (Buckler) DeMone. For the last few years Barbara was President of the White Ensign Legion Branch 129 up until her passing. She worked with the Corp of Commissionaires for a number of years, until her sickness caused her to leave. She was an avid dart player which she enjoyed very much. She will be sadly missed by sisters, Brenda Rogers, Halifax, Sherill Comeau (Louie), Whites Lake; brothers, Robert (Audrey) Fall River, Barry (Bev), Sackville and Lloyd, Whites Lake; several nieces and nephews, also many friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Peter Foster. A memorial service will be held in Cruikshanks Funeral Home,2666 Windsor St. Halifax, at 1 pm on Friday, January 16, 2015. In Barbara’s memory donations may be made to Children’s Wish Foundation and/or Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors in the IMCU Unit 3rd floor QEII for their compassionate care that they extended to Barb in her last few days.
