At the age of 80, it is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father, grandfather and friend, Barry Lear Siddle at his life-long home, on September 10, 2020. Born in Halifax on May 11, 1940, he was the son to Albert and Stella (Horne) Siddle. Barry grew up and remained in Armdale where he met the love of his life, Heather Ann (St. Clair) Siddle. They enjoyed many trips around the Maritimes with his children and extended family. Barry worked at Canada Packers Limited before retiring from the Halifax Herald after 25 years. In his youth, he had a deep love for dogs and enjoyed working on cars with his father. Barry and Heather were very proud parents, grandparents and uncle and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Barry was sharp as a tack and could always match you at every turn when it came to current events. Barry is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Stella (Horne) Siddle, and his loving wife Heather (St. Clair) Siddle. He is survived by his sons Barry Michael Siddle and Chris St. Clair Siddle (Kellie) and his two granddaughters Meghan and Abigail Siddle. He will be missed by all.

Visitation will take place at Cruickshank’s Funeral Home at 2666 Windsor St. in Halifax, on Thursday September 17, 2020 from 2:00-5:00pm. A private service for extended family will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11:00am in the chapel of Cruikshank’s Funeral Home.

Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.

The Family of The Late Barry L Siddle ~
We are deeply saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Barry.
I had the honour of being their maid-of-honor at their wedding over sixty years ago.
We have many fond memories of vacationing together in Florida, Cape Breton and at The Gap in Digby.
Rest In Peace Barry~
Give my Hed a big hug and tell her I miss her more and more!
Together now!

With saddened hearts and heartfelt sympathies~

Sincerely,
Tommy and Margie

I remember Barry and Heather so very well. Heather St. Clair married Barry shortly after my marriage and she lived across the street from my family. We knew each other from the time we were tiny girls. |Condolences to Barry's sons and family. So sad to lose someone as close as your dad. Blessings, Deanna B.
