Bryde Elizabeth Warner

Bryde was born in Halifax on December 18, 1932 to James L. Warner and Bridget E. Warner (Healy).

She was educated at Mount Saint Vincent University receiving a BSc in 1953 and a BEd in 1959. She then obtained an MA in Business Education from Columbia University in New York City in 1963. Bryde taught in the Business Program at Halifax Vocational School for 14 years, followed by 5 years of teaching at St. Patrick’s High School. She finished her business career at Veterans Affairs Canada in Halifax, retiring in 2000.

Bryde was a prolific reader, an avid shopper, enjoyed bridge, was an active member of the Waegwoltic Club for many years and loved preparing family dinners. She was a dedicated care-giver for her parents at home during their later years.

Bryde is survived by her two brothers, Jim (Edith) and Donald (Maxine).

The family would like to give sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers on floor 5C at Northwood, her home for the past 8 years.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday October 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St Thomas Aquinas Church, Oxford St, Halifax. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
