We regret to announce the passing of Dale Raymond Johnson, age 77, on October 19, 2015 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. Born in Halifax in 1938, he was the son of the late Daniel and Florence (Marks) Johnson. Predeceased by his brother Wayne, Dale was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his life partner, David Manning, also of Halifax.
Dale was an employee of the National Research Council of Canada, retiring in 1999 after 42 years’ service. A life-long Haligonian, Dale was a committed supporter of Neptune Theatre having attended regularly since its inception.
There will be no visitation and the remains have been cremated as per his wishes. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Neptune Endowment Fund, or to Feed Nova Scotia.
