Tsaltas, Dimitra age 91 of Dartmouth, passed away on March 11, 2017 at home in the company of her family. Born in Krokees, Greece on October 22, 1925 she was the daughter of Leonidas and Zafeiro (Sourgis) Kamoulakos.
She was one of 8 children. She immigrated to Canada in October 1967. Predeceased by her husband, Panagiotis Tsaltas and son, Dimitrios Tsaltas.
Dimitra is survived by her only remaining sibling, brother, John (Nina) Kamoulakos as well as her sons, Nikolaos, Leonidas and her daughter, Hariklia. She also lived to see her grandchildren, Dean, Dimitra, Emden, Panagiotis, Anna, Aikaterina, Panagiotis, Maria and Nikolaos; as well as 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11am from St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 38 Purcell’s Cove Road, Halifax followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery, Halifax. Donation’s may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
