

McINNIS, Dolina (Donni) MacKay, 92, of Halifax, passed away January 2, 2015 at Northwood Manor. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Isabel (MacNeill) MacIntosh. Dolina was a certified kilt maker, wartime machine operator, war bride and worked at Sears until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, curling, golf, and gardening and was a wild blueberry farmer. Dolina is survived by her husband, B.L. McInnis; daughter, Donna McInnis Manuel (Peter Melnick); sons, Calvin (Barbara) McInnis and Dale (Kathy) McInnis; Donni was known as MumMum to her grandchildren, Jennifer McInnis Martin (Wally Martin), Erin (Shawn) Poirier - (who are daughters of Sherry Brunelle); Leslie Manuel, Lindsay Manuel (Dennis MacDonald); Kayla Collier, Ian McInnis and Corrie McInnis. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Emma Martin, Jake Martin, Paige Poirier and Kaitlyn Moore and several nieces and nephews. Dolina was predeceased by her parents, brother, John MacIntosh and sister, Annabell Lesler. Memorial service will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 2 pm following visiting from 1 – 2 pm on Tuesday in Cruikshank Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax.
