Roberts, Dorothy Lillian “Dot” age 83 of Halifax, passed away August 12, 2017, in Melville Lodge. Born in Halifax, She was a daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (McCulloch) Sleigh. Dorothy was retired from Maritime Tel and Tel .Her many loves were; her family and friends also her” telephone company family” , knitting, playing cards, the Sound of Music and Charlie Pride. Survived by sons, Danny (Chris) , David (Joanne), daughter Karen ( Terry) , 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Allan Roberts, siblings Harold Sleigh, Marion McNeary (Sleigh), Fred (Bobby) Sleigh, and Jean Gray (Sleigh). A Memorial service will take place 11am Wednesday September 13 , in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax, with burial in Camp Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Melville Lodge for taking much loving care of Dorothy while she was there. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Melville Lodge Rec Fund or the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
