Elaine Grace Tynes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving sister, aunt and Godmother on November 1, 2024 at the age of 74. She was born on December 3rd , 1949 to the late Joseph and Shirley (nee Thompson) Tynes.

She was a loving and caring person and very devoted to her family, she enjoyed going to bingo and always looked forward to playing cards with her family on Saturdays. She worked for Bell Aliant for over 30 years before retiring in 2002.

She is survived by her brothers Blaine (Connie), Roger (Wilma), of Bathurst, Joey (Leanne), Quentin (Darlene), Bentley (Denise), all of Halifax. Sisters Sherry (Martin) of Dartmouth, Rosanne (Nowlen), Karen (Jan) of Ontario, Jenny (Scott), Vanessa all of Halifax. Her Godchildren Marty and Vanessa. Several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Shirley Tynes, Brothers Edward, Brian and Sisters Eva, Donna and Kim.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 8th, 202 at 12pm and funeral to follow at 1pm at Cruikshank’s funeral home 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax.
