Elizabeth Ann Dimmer

~ Dimmer (Poirier) Elizabeth Ann “Betty”, age 91 of Halifax passed away January 19, 2023 at Melville Lodge in Halifax. Born in Cheticamp, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Josey and Bertina (Muise) Poirier. Betty spent many years employed in the childcare field. She is survived by son, Robert and daughter, Cindy (Brian MacLaren); sister, Marie Bertha; sisters-in-law Mary and Margaret; special friends, Joan and Tom McDonell as well as many nieces and nephews. Betty was also honorary Grandmother to Amanda McDonell, Erica McCurdy and Ellen Conte. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril; brother, Wilfred; sisters, Mary, Annie May and Stella. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, January 25 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 26 at St. Agnes Church with a reception to follow. Father Irek Bem officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Memory Gardens.
