Born in Germany, Ella immigrated to Canada in 1956. She was employed as a Housekeeper for 35 years at the Victoria General Hospital. She was an avid gardener, loved puzzles and spent much of her free time reading. She loved playing cards with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ella was predeceased by her husband Heinz Pansegrau, survived by her children Wolfgang Pansegrau (Lorna), Marianne Woodward (David), Monika Scherer (Ludwig), Irene Barkhouse and Annette Callaghan (Robert), 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Northwood for their continued care.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday September 28, 2025 at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
