Age 93, born February 5, 1926, passed away June 24, 2019. Mom was born in Bayside, Prince Edward Island to the late Lillian (Kilbride) and Herman MacIntyre. Mom spent her younger years on the family dairy farm in her beloved Bayside and brought her wonderful Island values to Nova Scotia, where she raised her large family. Mom's pure heart, and beautiful soul were what drew everyone to her and sharing these traits brought her the most joy. Mom's home and family meant the world to her and were what she held closest to her heart. Mom proudly worked at St Patrick's Glebe House until her retirement. This part of mom's life was monumental in the many ways she shared her joy for life and love of people. Mom was a proud member of the Catholic Women's League and gave selflessly to many charities and other causes. She happily complied with any last minute contributions for a bake sale or other last minute requests for "next day school treats". Mom was one of few selected to attend the Archbishop's Ordination in Ontario, and was also given the honor of passing out the Holy Eucharist at a Papal Mass, in Halifax.
