Florence Catherine (Florrie) Finlay passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 19,2012 at the QEII Hospital, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late John and May Joyce.
She loved doing her crosswords and reading books. She especially looked forward to our Saturday mornings playing cards. Survived by sons Jack (Gloria) Halifax, Don (Janet) Cole Harbour, grandchildren Ryan, Jay, Vanessa and Kyle Finlay. A very special thank you to her niece Peggy Redmond for her love, caring and dedication over the years.
She is also survived by two nephews, John and Pat Redmond. Predeceased by her husband Jim Finlay and sister Eileen Redmond. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5 - 8 p.m at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, Windsor St. Halifax. Funeral will be held at St. Theresa's Church, North St. Halifax on Friday, February 24,2012 at 10:30 a m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
