Geoffrey Darren Croucher, Age 49

With great sadness and heartbreak the family announce the passing of Geoffrey Darren Croucher at the Halifax Infirmary of complications from Stroke. Born in Halifax 28 June 1970, he was the son of Deborah A. Croucher (Layton Smith) and the late Bruce/Nunny Marsman (Dawn).

He was employed at Northwood Continuing Care in The Dietary Department, and continued to work throughout the pandemic.

He is survived by his long time Partner, Adam Munroe along with his family; brother Jordon Croucher, Toronto; sister Kayla Marsman, Hammond Plains; Step Brother, Layton (BO) LaFreniere, Saskatchewan; and Step Sister Rhonda Willis, Toronto.

Geoff had a large extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, many friends and work acquaintance. Special work acquaintance and friend Janice Farmer; and a very special niece, Aaliyah Marie Croucher. There were many people in his circle whom he loved and who loved him.

He had a friendly, out-going personality. He was vibrant, full of life, loved his family, loved a good party, to dance, cook, entertain and have friends over. He was an awesome cook, and a wonderful dedicated grandson to his Grandmother Bernice. He was kind to people, volunteered in his community center in the Square where he often helped people fix and solve computer problems. He loved attending the Africville Reunions, where he would set up, cook and do what was needed.

A "Come and Go" Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11 from 1-3pm weather permitting. If inclement weather the alternate date will be Saturday, July 18 from 1-3pm. Celebration will take place at Debbie's home, please reach out to Debbie or Adam for further details.
