Leaman, George Leonard Age 85 of Halifax Passed away peacefully may 28, 2012 in the Halifax infirmary. Born in Port aux Basque, NL, he was a son of the late Abraham and Mary Elizabeth (Morrisey) Leaman. He worked for National Sea Products for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. George was the last surviving member of his immediate family. George is survived by his wife of 60 years Kathleen ( Vaslet),daughters Georgina Wallingham, Joan Dash( Lawrence), Judy Burke, Stella Grandy (Eugene); sons Norman (Faye), Eddy (Lynn), Patrick (Kim), Earle, Leonard, 22 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren.George was predeceased by grandson Joseph, granddaughter Tammy and stepson Cyril Vaslet. Cremation has taken place .A Memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday June 2,2012, in Cruikshanks Funeral Home,2666 Windsor St. Halifax.Rev Carson Baxter officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
