

LeRue, George Francis – 92 of Halifax passed away November 6, 2012. Born and raised in Halifax, NS he was the son of Augustus and Maggie (Briand) LeRue. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Agnes Melita (Sampson) LeRue and brothers and sisters. He is survived by daughters, Bernadette (Laurie) Dalrymple; Clendon Dewolfe, Mary LeRue, Betty (Ralph) Butler, Nora LeRue, and sons, Gus (Sandra); Albert (Betty); Ronald (Kris); Dennis (Pam); Michael (Beverly); and brother, Gordon (Mary) LeRue. He is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He proudly worked for Canada Customs from 1941 until retiring in December 1976. He was also very proud of his many years of service to Saint Patrick’s Church. Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the QEII who provided kindness and compassion to our father while he was in their care. Visitation will be held today, November 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax, NS. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Patrick’s Church, 2263 Brunswick St. Saturday, November 10 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place Tuesday, November 13 at 1:30 p.m. in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
