Harry Joseph Turner

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Dad on April 11, 2020. He leaves us to be with our Mom, his beloved wife, Rose. We can only imagine how wonderful that reunion would be!

Dad was born in Halifax on May 14th, 1931 to Joseph and Edith Turner, the first of 5 brothers. As a long term resident of Gaetz Brook, Dad was well known in the community and be remembered as a man with the highest integrity, honesty and responsibility. Always ready to pitch in and help others. He loved to sing and dance, however most of all he loved his family, generous with hugs and encouragement, he will always be a shining example for us all.

Survived by his brother, John and left to carry on his legacy are his daughter, Rosemary (Carl); sons, Harry (Denise) and Paul (Cathy); grandchildren, Stephen (Dodi), Lisa (Dave), Jennifer (Keith), Craig (Krista), Courtney and Matthew, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Harry was predeceased by his brothers, William “Bill”, Bruce and Kenneth as well as great-grandson Owen Deveaux.

A celebration of a life “well lived” will take place at a later date.
