Fougere, Herman Francis, age 96, Halifax and formerly of False Bay, Richmond County, passed away peacefully at the Veteran’s Memorial Building on March 17, 2015. His service to the community included membership in the Regional Council of Carpenters and as a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church for over 60 years. When called to duty, he served his country. A quiet, gentle man, he loved spending time in the country in his younger years, but his greatest joy was his life with Anne. Surviving are his sisters: Cecelia (Baccardax) and Margaret (Pottie) and many nieces and nephews. Herman was predeceased by his parents Murdoch and Sarah, his wife Anne (Leblanc) brothers: Charlie, Abraham, William, Amable, John and sisters: Sadie, Rita, and Mary Helen. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Church, North Street, Halifax, on Saturday, March 28 at 11 am. Donations may be made to charity of choice.
