Meynell, Jenifer, PhD (née Routledge) aged 77, Halifax, died peacefully at home on July 1, 2014 from pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Nada Patricia and James (Jim) Routledge on November 10, 1936 in Norton, county Durham, UK, she is survived by her two children, Julian James Meynell and Letitia Mercia Meynell, her grandson, Simon Alexander Meynell, and Letitia’s partner, Andrew Timothy Fenton. She is also survived by her sister, Rosamund Jordan of Aislaby, UK. Jenifer’s body will be cremated and friends are welcome to join the family for a celebration of her life at her home, 2 Windermere Road in Halifax, on Friday July 4, at 6:30 p.m. A memorial event will be held in Calgary at a later date. Jenifer’s family would like to thank the Victorian Order of Nurses, Revera, and her palliative care team, particularly Glenna Thornhill, for their excellent care.
