Joan was my aunt.  She had a special place in my heart.  She was always friendly, sweet, and she encouraged me.  She had her own way of looking at the world and it gave me thought, more than once.  

So very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. My heart is heavy. I will always remember Joan's gentle way, her deep love and compassion for all who knew her and a true compliment to her profession - R.N.

I am truly sorry to hear of Joan's passing.  I had the pleasure of working with Joan in Anesthesiology at Kingston General Hospital years ago. I have and will miss her.  Rest in Peace Joan.

Alas I only had the pleasure of spending time with Joan a few times, but it was not hard to see what a special person she was.  I especially appreciated her kindness, her quiet sense of humour and her incredible inner strength.  I send my warm thoughts and condolences to all those who loved and cared for her...
