

Born in Halifax on July 18, 1929 she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Deveau) Norris. Kaye was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She passed away on November 28, 2021 at the Veterans Memorial Building.
She was predeceased by her brothers, James (Mary), Leo and Fred (Marlena); sisters, Helen and Jean (Sisters of Charity) Halifax; half-sisters, Gertrude, Margaret (Sister Thomas Edward) and Cecilia Foran.
Kaye is survived by her nieces, Sharon (the late Bart) Whalen and Maria (Robert) Boudreau; nephew Chris (Colleen) Norris; great nieces, Nicole, Leah and Molly; great nephews, Ryan and Joshua; great-great nephew, Cooper and great-great niece, Delilah.
Kaye was a long time service employee with Canadian Industries Limited. Following retirement, she kept active with Volunteer Services. She loved singing and enjoyed being in the Bluenose Belles Ladies Barbershop Group, the Chebucto Singers and the Church Choir. Kaye was an active and faithful member of Saint Agnes Parish. She was also an Associate Member of the Sisters of Charity – Halifax.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 3 at 10am from St. Agnes Catholic Church, 6903 Mumford Road, Halifax followed by a reception. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of choice. Please note that Covid-19 protocols, including proof of vaccination, will be required.
