BURNS, Marion Gertrude (nee Weagle) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion in her 84th year on November 26, 2012, in Halifax with her family at her side. Marion was born in Medford, Mass. USA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella (Naughler) Weagle. She is survived by her children David and Joanne. Nanny will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her grandsons, Ryan and Matthew; boys who would always put a sparkle in her eye and a smile on her face with their warm hugs. She will be fondly remembered by her brother Alvin, special brother Norman and several nieces and nephews. She will always be loved and sadly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a legacy of warm and loving memories that will live forever in our hearts. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband Edmund whose life together was filled with love, happiness, and caring. Visitation will be held from 10 am until service time at 11am Thursday December 6, 2012 in Cruikshanks Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Interment in St. John’s Columbarium Halifax. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. David MacDonald and the Hematology Unit at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
