The last decade growing close to Marlene saw us being a member of our trio I referred to as 'the three amigos' on the 4th floor of our our Seniors Manor; her life long friend Marjorie & I made up the three. We watched each others back, and were steadfast in our 'outspoken' complaints against any conflict arising involving 'housing.' Each day since "Marl's" passing, Marjorie and I ache from the fact we'll no longer hear her "Hiya love, how are you today?" each day she was home. I loved hearing the delightful tap tap tap at my apt door when Marl needed help with anything gone awry in her abode; which, I must add, was one of my absolute favourite things to do for her. My love for her heightened each time I saw her tend to concerns for Marjorie, too. Always made my day to help Marl resolve any dilemma; now, Marjorie and I are filled with sorrow and weep daily for the loss of one of our most amazing and endearing friends of our lives. Sure miss you, Marl. Shall catch up with you on 'the other side' when my time this side of the grass is done. Rest in peace, 'luv.'

My condolences to Marlene's family, there is many. I have known her all my life and my first memory was as a child, when I was cared for at Granny Turner's and Marlene would give me advice or tell me to come in from the garage playhouse, A very positive person in my life, one I was always happy to chat with when we would meet, and many times she would be rushing to pick up her grand children, the love was always expressed. She made her mark in this lifetime,so glad I knew her.
