Age 78, Halifax, passed away peacefully Friday January 10, 2014 at the Halifax Infirmary after a courageous battle with lung cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. She kept her sense of humour and love for her family through it all. Born in Halifax on April 16, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Roy A. and Clare Chisholm (Cable). She is survived by her loving son Ted Tibbetts and sister Edna Gillis. Sylvia was a devout Catholic and had a special devotion to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower. Proud and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers John and Paul, sisters Ruth and Catherine. Sylvia was an employee with the Federal Government for many years in Halifax.
