

Loving sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, Maureen Anne Connors passed away on November 8, 2017. She was surrounded by family and close friends. Born in Halifax, NS, Maureen was the daughter of the late Stella (Ferguson) Connors and Cyril Connors.
She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #152 and was a sergeant with the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. After her father’s passing Maureen dedicated her life to caring for her mother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and participating in adventures with the Young at Heart Club.
Maureen is survived by her sister Carolyn (Al) Boudreau, sister-in-law Phyllis (Kenny Smith) Connors. Nieces: Lynn Connors, Paula (Leo Gamoulakous) Hoyt, Maureen (Katie Lusk) Boudreau. Great-Nieces and Nephews: Krista, Michael (Shauna) and Joey Maybe. Thomas and Luke Hoyt. Great-great Nieces and Nephews: Austin and Carly Maybe.
She was predeceased by her brother Michael Connors and nephews Harry Young and John Hoyt.
Funeral Mass 11:00 on Tuesday at St. Michael’s Church, Spryfield, followed by a Legion Service officiated by her loving friend Jad Poirier. Visitation and reception at the Spryfield Legion. Burial at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
Family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at QEII Emergency and 8.4 for their kindness and compassion. As well as her loving caregivers and close friends Becky Loughead and Lynn Akanbi.
