Brother, this year has been challenging, but I think you would be proud of me. Cheyanne is living with me and the kids now; I have guardianship of her ❤️ I’m sure you already know because I’m sure you are looking over her. I wish she could have had the opportunity to know you as I did. 
I miss you all the time. Jolene helps me get through it - she misses you too - she has such kind words and is very supportive. I’m sure your boys will all grow up to be wonderful men because she loves them so much and is a good mom.

Ever since I can remember, we would tell people we were adopted - twins we were - so different from the rest of our family ...do you remember when we realized we were half right? I always figured they would eventually tell us that we were twins. 
I don’t know how we ever were separated...? I am so sorry I gave up on you. Will you ever be able to forgive me? 💔 my heart hurts for little Michael and Sarah. We needed each other. I lost you long before you were gone, but it is so much more painful now that I know I can’t get you back.  If I could change any one thing, I would never have let you go... I would have wrapped my soul around yours, and guided us to safety. 
My brother, I love you.
I have always loved you... I will wait til we see each other again, and then never let you go, and hug all the pain you lived away. Let it all fly, fly with those who no longer matter. You are safe 💙

It has been a year already... I lay awake thinking about how this time last year you were already gone, and I had no idea. I always thought I would know; that we shared a twin connection of some sort.

Thanksgiving thoughts of you... remembering as kids how we would load our plates and happily eat at the kids table - that is til we were older, and then we’d complain cause we didn’t want to be with the little kids haha! 
I have such a hard time remembering my childhood without feeling such sadness that you are gone.   ...I miss you

Always, we are only a year, a week, an hour, and fourteen minutes apart....

Good bye daddy, we know you are safe and at peace now. We are always thinking of you and will always remember you.

P.S.   We are looking after mommy now and she will be ok. She is a little mad at you though but she is happy that you are no longer suffering inside and you are at peace. 
Don't worry dad, we will make sure she packs all our hockey equipment and ties our skates just right. However, she can't figuare out how to double knot the laces like you. 
Gage has got a few invites to AJHL teams and Jax still wants to be a policeman so he can take all the bad guys off the streets. Or a fireman to help save people. But sometimes he changes his mind and wants to be a dentist too because the chairs are comfy. Eddie still eats everything in sight and still likes to snuggle with his bunny and blanket. Joey is just observing it all. He likes playing peek-a-boo and he likes playing with all the water bottle lids and hiding them in the oven drawer.
We will miss fishing with you dad. Jax will always out fish you and Gage will probably always still give you a good run at golf. If not beat you and we all know how you hate loosing. Eddie has no one to share his chips with at night but mommy has put a stop to that anyhow because it was a bad habit before bed. And Joey will always cherish that pink t-shirt you wore the day he was born because you and mom thought he was going to be a girl. 
We will always remember almost getting eaten by a bear in Stanley Park. And how mad you were when mom made you a hot dog cake for your birthday.  You said hot dogs were your favourite!  LOL. But most of all we will remember that you are our dad and we thank you for that. 
We could go on and on about great memories with you dad but I'm sure your busy up there making more friends as you always knew someone somewhere. 
Well, good night daddy.  I hope you are having sweet dreams. Untill we meet again, we will always love you.

With loving memories of my first nephew.  The picture of Mike and Sarah brings back a flood of memories. Thinking of all the family and friends that knew Mike. A life lost way too early.

I will never forget you . I love you so much. I wish things turned out different .  You were so kind and loving , you cared so much for people .  I won't forget how you acted when watching a hockey game , or soccer or any sport . The  way You always tried to help as many people as you could .  Watching your eyes lighten up when you were around water  specially the ocean .    You acted like a kid in a candy shop when you saw the ocean all happy and smiling.  I won't forget your smile your laugh . You will always be in my heart and in the heart of others .  You will be missed.  I love you forever
