Born in Halifax, he was the son of Wallace Fougere, and Doris (Poirier) Fougere.
Paul was employed as a service technician with Sears Canada, and Coca-Cola Ltd., followed by co-ownership of RJ’s Nursery School & Kindergarten , where he and wife Norma, dedicated years to the care of children. Paul enjoyed and excelled at any project he decided to take on. Paul’s praise was always circled around the accomplishments of his son Ryan, of whom he was so proud.
Paul is survived by his wife and partner of 37 years, Norma (Pottie); Son Ryan; Mother Doris Fougere; Brother Warren (Hilda); Sisters Judy (Blair) Gilhen, Tena (Gary) Berrigan; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his father, Wallace Fougere; Paternal grandparents Isaac and Alvina Fougere; and Maternal grandparents Bonaventure and Leonie Poirier.
He will be sadly missed, and we pray he has connected with mentor, and loving grandfather, Pepe.
A special thank you to Keith Fougere for the many visits, and long drives to and from Cape Breton to support Paul over the past few years. Also, Kevin Hearns, and Glen MacDonald for their special friendship with Paul over the years, and Catherine Shanks RN for all her moral support to Paul during his last days. Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. G. Pickett of the QEII.
