Susan, we were so shocked and saddened to hear of Rob’s passing. He was taken far too early. We think of you often and will be in touch again soon.

I met Robert in 1999 when I was starting my business and he was my graphic designer. My thoughts go out to Susan and his family. He spoke so fondly of his memories from growing up in Mount Denson.

I met Robert in 2004 through my friend Susan. He was always the coolest guy in the room. He was enormously talented with his graphic design and his art but also tremendously modest. He also had an incredible sense of humour and a wonderful outlook. One year, 2006 or 2007? few of us gathered at Rogue's Roost on Spring Garden Road to watch the Parade of Lights and it was drizzly but we had a great view through the windows. When Santa finally came Robert jumped up from our table and clapped and cheered and his joy was infectious, the rest of the place joined in too. I am terribly sorry to hear he died and crushed for Susan and his family. Bless his heart.

Sadly I haven’t seen Rob in many years, since moving to Vancouver, but he was a major character in the most formative chapter of my life, both in art college and the years just after. We had a lot of great talks, laughs and hang-outs back then, both at NSCAD and all around Halifax. Those were special times and Rob was a true friend who helped me find my identity and my voice as an artist. He was an exceptional listener, empath, and a sharp intellectual with thoughtful insights.

Rob, I’m so sorry that you are no longer here. I would have loved to catch up. I am deeply saddened for those closest to you who will be missing you most. I wish I had kept in touch. Thank you for your friendship and guidance those years we were together. You made a huge impact in my life, and I am grateful.

This is heart-wrenching news of Roberts passing. We were chums when he worked at Neptune. So many stories best left in the memories of what I can remember in my own head. He was such a talent, a smile that would light up your world when you saw him. All be it I have not seen Robert in awhile, I knew if our paths crossed the same smile would light up my world again. I am so very sad to hear of his passing, my heart is with Susan and his family. Too much time has passed without seeing you but I one day I will look for that smile again in the heavens. RIP my friend....until that day.
