Ruth Irene Panteluk (Fitzpatrick)

She was the daughter of Florence and Joseph Bowles. Ruth married Bill Panteluk in 1953. Prior to then she was a telephone operator at MT&T. Ruth later worked at Simpson’s for 15 years and retired to go travelling.

Ruth was a loving mom to her daughters, Cathie and Heather. She was generous to them, her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Ruth was a great animal lover and there were always pets in her home. Many people and animals benefitted from her kindness and anonymously. Ruth had many hobbies including bowling, bridge, painting, sewing, ceramics, and was a great armchair sports enthusiast.

She will be missed by her family; daughters Cathie and Heather (Alan); grandchildren Kris (Jil), Jessica, Haley, and Colin; and great-grandchild Killian.

Visitation will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home from 2-4pm on Sunday, January 6. The Funeral Service will be hosted by St Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church at 10:30am on Monday, January 7, 2019.
