Shirley Irene Goodie

Goodie, Shirley Irene (nee Connors) 84, Halifax passed away June 12, 2014 in Northwood Center. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude (nee White) Connors. She worked for Zellers retiring after 30 years. Shirley enjoyed doing the Lexicon puzzle. Surviving are daughter Debra (Gary) Josey, Lower Sackville; son Paul (Dale) Goodie, Halifax; brothers Ken (Geraldine) Connors, Bedford and Doug (Thelma) Connors Halifax; Grandchildren Justin (Shauna) Josey and Paul Goodie Jr.; Great-grandchildren Meghan, Hannah and Owen Josey, Dominic Goodie, Ryan Walsh (Goodie), and Serena Ford. She was predeceased by daughter Linda, grandson Tony Goodie, brothers Roy and Georgie Connors and sister Dorothy Connors. Visitation will be held 2-4, 6-8 Monday June 16, 2014 in Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Halifax. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday June 17, 2014 in St. Georges Anglican Church, Brunswick St. Halifax. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke foundation of Nova Scotia.
